Somatic Experiencing® is a body-oriented approach to supporting nervous system health, healing, and resilience. Whether you're navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, overwhelm, or simply longing to feel more connected to yourself, sessions help you gently work with your body's natural capacity for regulation and restoration.

The Background
of Somatic Experiencing
Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) is a gentle, body-oriented approach to supporting nervous system regulation, stress recovery, and trauma healing. Developed by Dr. Peter Levine, SE is based on the understanding that the body holds and adapts to life experiences—and that healing happens through reconnecting with the body’s natural capacity for balance, safety, and resilience.
Rather than focusing on retelling or analyzing experiences, Somatic Experiencing® invites us to slow down and gently track what is happening in the present moment through sensation, breath, emotion, movement, and awareness. This allows the nervous system to gradually release stored stress and return toward a greater sense of ease and regulation.
This work is deeply respectful, collaborative, and paced according to your system. There is no need to push or revisit anything before you feel ready—your body leads the process.
Somatic Experiencing® can support you in navigating difficulties of:
• chronic stress, overwhelm, or anxiety
• trauma (including developmental, relational, or shock trauma)
• early attachment or birth-related experiences
• emotional dysregulation or feeling “stuck”
• disconnection, shutdown, or difficulty feeling present in the body
Over time, this work can support greater:
• nervous system resilience
• capacity to feel grounded and present
• emotional regulation and flexibility
• sense of safety within the body
• connection to self and others
• overall wellbeing and vitality
Sessions offer a supportive space to gently reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence and build more capacity for life, one moment at a time.
